Welcome to Voces
About us…
Voces is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to uplifting the LatinX community through advocacy, education, leadership development, and community support.
Founded in 2007 by a passionate group of Latinos and allies, Voces began as a vision to improve the health, quality of life, and leadership opportunities for LatinX families in greater Battle Creek, Michigan. With generous support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Voces launched operations in May 2008 as a Community Project Fund of the Battle Creek Community Foundation.
Today, Voces stands as an independent nonprofit organization serving LatinX residents throughout Calhoun County, MI, continuing its mission with strong backing from both local and national partners.
Voces is a warm and inviting space where the LatinX community of greater Battle Creek and Southwest Michigan can come together and receive empowering support in several different ways.
Our name, which means “voices” in Spanish, was chosen following a community contest to represent our mission and goal of “Many Voices, One Community.
We are open Monday through Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
Our work is tangible and achievable thanks to…
